Gun Pastoral is a long‑established cattle operation built on practical stockmanship, sound land stewardship, and generations of farming knowledge. With over 25 years of land ownership and a lifetime spent working in agriculture, our focus is on producing quality cattle while caring for the land that sustains them.

Our properties runs along the Manning River, providing fertile grazing country and reliable water access. We run a vast number of breeding units, managed through well‑planned livestock systems that prioritise animal health, efficiency, and long‑term productivity.

Strong stockmanship is at the core of what we do. Calm handling, attentive observation, and an understanding of cattle behaviour underpin our day‑to‑day operations. This approach reduces stress on livestock, improves performance, and ensures animal welfare remains front and centre.

Effective livestock management and pasture utilisation allow us to maximise carrying capacity while maintaining soil health and pasture condition. Strategic weed control programs are integrated across the property to protect productive country, preserve native grasses where possible, and prevent weed spread along river frontage and grazing areas.

We take a long‑term view of land management, balancing production with sustainability. Fencing, water infrastructure, and paddock design support rotational grazing practices and efficient cattle movement, helping us adapt to seasonal conditions and maintain resilience in a changing climate.
